# About VEGVÍSIR

VEGVÍSIR is a Hamburg-based advisory for transactions and AI-built software. The name says it all: we provide orientation where the way is still unknown.

## The symbol

The Vegvísir is an Icelandic sign from the Galdrastafir tradition, recorded in the 19th-century Huld manuscript. The name means wayfinder. Whoever carries it, the manuscript says, will not lose their way in storms or bad weather, even when the way is unknown.

In our logo, the runes around the edge carry this sentence in English: **Never get lost even when the way is unknown.** In transactions and digital projects the destination is often unclear at the start. Our job is to create clarity step by step.

## Mark C. Reinold, Founder and managing director

Mark combines 25+ years of digital transformation with 120+ technology due diligences, 5 start-ups of his own and 3 exits. He has built and led teams of up to 250 people.

Today he works on both ends of the same question: how do you assess a company's IT in a deal, and how do you quickly build what is missing afterwards? For this he developed his own method: a virtual development team of AI agents for AI-assisted software development. He also works as a Principal at valantic.
